Abstract
The effect of needle puncture at the dog’s points corresponding to the points of human gallbladder channel such as the Danshu
Yanglingquan
Zulinqi etc.on the contraction of the gallbladder was studied by method of chronic catheterization of this viscus while its function was kept nearly normal and the animals were in conscious state. The experimental results obtained from 5 dogs showed that the needle puncture could not elicite the contraction of the gallbladder directly
but might alter the hormonal effect of the cholecystokinin on gallbladder con- traction. In case the gallbladder was mo- derately filled
the needle puncture would reinforce the action of the cholecystokinin
but would weaken it if the organ was over distended.
