Content of the neurotransmitters 5 - Hydroxytryptamine (5 -HT) and Norepinephrine (NE) in the neurons of the brain and adrenals and in the nerve fibers of the hypophysis after administration of drugs warm and hot in properties in the cold - deficiency rats were studied immunohistochemically and fluorimetrically. The results showed that both drugs for warming yang and replenishing qi could similarly increase the content of norepinephrine and decrease the content of 5 -hydroxytryptamine in the neurons in the brain and in the nerve fibers of the hypophysis. Their content in the adrenal medulla did not show significant change.
