Clinical Observation on 32 Cases of Idiopathic Pulmonary Interstitial Fibrosis Treated with TCM Comprehensive Therapy
Objective:To find the advantage of TCM comprehensive therapy in treatment of idiopathic pulmonary interstitial fibrosis(IPIF). Methods:70 cases of IPIF were divided into a TCM treatment group(n=32)
a Bailing Capsule group(n=32)and a blank control group(n=6).They were treated by internal administration and external application of a modified stipulated prescription of Chinese medicine
simple Bailing Capsule and no treatment
respectively.Changes of symptom scores
blood oxygen and pulmonary function indexes before and after treatment were observed and compared. Results:After treatment
symptoms scores
blood oxygen and the defuse index of pulmonary function in the TCM treatment group improved with a significant difference as compared with Bailing Capsule group(P<0.05)
and there was very significant difference in improvement of the symptom scores and the diffuse index of pulmonary function
and the total lung volume between the TCM treatment group and the blank control group(P<0.05 or P<0.01).Conclusion:TCM comprehensive therapy can improve objective symptoms
and hypoxia and diffuse index of pulmonary function
and it is a better effective therapy than Bailing Capsule for the patient of IPIF.
