A Report on 15 Differential Expression Genes Found in a Cold-Syndrome Genealogy
Objective:To probe molecular biological basis of cold syndrome. Methods:Microarray technique was used for examination of the gene expression profiles in 4 cases of cold syndrome patient and 6 normal persons in a same family.Results:15 differential expression genes asociated with energy metabolism were found in the patients of deficiency-cold syndrome in the cold syndrome family
accounting for 52% of the known functional groups in this experiment. Conclusion:Using genealogy to study genoms of syndromes can eliminate a lot of interfering factors
and is benefit to effectively screen target genes for complicated cold-syndrome
suggesting that cold-syndrome family has corresponding molecular biological basis for lower energy metabolism.
