Effect of Ear Acupoint Pressure on Sleeping Structure in Patient of Obstructive Sleep Apnea Syndrome
Objective:To investigate the therapeutic effect of ear acupoint pressure on sleep structure changes in obstructive sleep apnea syndrome(OSAS) patients.Methods:45 cases of OSAS patients were randomly divided into the treatment group (30 cases
ear acupoint pressure) and control group(15 cases) to observe the changes of clinical symptoms
respiratory parameter and sleep parameter before and after treatment. Results:Ear acupoint pressure can significantly improve respiratory parameters(average respiratory disturbance index
the average hypoventilation index)and sleep parameters( the time and rate of Ⅰ、Ⅱsleep
the number and the time of wake after sleep onset). Conclusions:Ear acupoint pressure has good effect in treating OSAS patients. It is a convenient
effective and economical treatment method with no side effect.
