Clinical Study on Wubi Capsule for Treatment of 33 Cases of Systemic Scleroderma
Objective:To evaluate clinical therapeutic effect of Wubi Capsule on systemic scleroderma (SSc) and its effects on level of endothelial cell in peripheral blood circulation.Methods:Sixty-five cases of SSc meeting the enrolled criteria were randomly divided into a treatment group and a control group by using double blind and double simulation method.Cumulative scores of clinical symptoms
changes of peripheral endothelial cell contents were compared prespectively between the two groups. Results:The vascular endothelial cell level significantly increased in the patient of SSc as compared with that of healthy subjects(P<0.01).After treatment
cumulative scores of clinical symptoms and vascular endothelial cell level decreased significantly in both groups(P<0.05 orP<0.01);The treatment group was superior to the control group in the aspects of total effective rate
antibody-negative rate and the decrease of endothelial cell level in the circulation(P<0.05 or P<0.01).Conclusion:Wubi Capsule can significantly improve clinical symptoms and signs
increase quality of life in the patient of SSc
and protection vascular endothelial cell might be one of its mechanisms.
