Proteomic Analysis of the Effect of Jianwei Yuyang Granule on Rats with Recurring Gastric Ulcer Caused by Acetic Acid
Objective To study the effect of Jianwei Yuyang Granule (JYG) on protein spectra of rats with recurring gastric ulcer caused by acetic acid and to search the proteins involved. Methods Total proteins in gastric tissue of rats in JYG and nulli-JYG groups were separated by two dimensional gel electrophoresis (2-DE). Differential protein spots were identified by peptide mass fingerprint based on matrix-assisted laser desorption inoization-time of flight mass spectrometry and data searching in National Center for Biotechnology Information and SWISS-PROT databases. Results Well-resolution and reproducible 2-DE maps were obtained and 12 differential protein spots were identified by mass spectrographic analysis. The expression of 8 protein spots increased and 4 decreased in JYG group. Most of the differential protein spots were relevant to formation
proliferation
apoptosis and immunity of the recurrence of gastric ulcer. Conclusion JYG can prevent the recurrence of gastric ulcer
which might be relevant to many proteins. Identification and further study of these proteins conduces to discovering new targets of drugs for ulcer.
