Correlation between Chinese Medical Pattern of Hypertension and Blood Fat Disorder
Objective To find objective indexes for Chinese medical pattern identification of hypertension by researching the correlation between different Chinese medical patterns of hypertension and blood fat disorder. Methods Clinical data of 111 in-hospital hypertension patients were collected according to questionaire designed and 20 healthy persons were selected as control group. Chinese medical pattern identification was conducted by 2 experienced doctors according to Chinese medical pattern standard of hypertension. Comparison was done among different Chinese medical patterns of trial group and between trial and control groups. Results As compared with control group
the level of total cholesterol(TC) increased but high density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-C) decreased obviously in trial group (P<0.05 or P<0.01). As compared with other patterns in trial group
HDL-C of phlegm-damp congestion pattern decreased and low density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C) of yin-yang deficiency pattern increased obviously. Conclusion The increase of triglyeride and decrease of HDL-C can be applied as objective indexes for phlegm-damp congestion pattern identification
while the increase of LDL-C for yin-yang deficiency pattern identification.
