Study on the Mechanism of Jianwei Yuyang Granule in Protection of Gastric Mucosa against Peptic Ulcer
Objective To observe the influence of Jianwei Yuyang Granule(Granule for strengthening the stomach to treat ulcer)on the expressions of the breast cancer-associated peptide(PS2)and spasmolytic polypeptide(SP)of ulcerated gastric mucosa in order to analyze its potential mechanism. Methods The 72 patients of gastric ulcer(PU)were randomized into Jianwei Yuyang Granule group(treatment group)and Ranitidine group(control group)with 36 in each. The normal group was established with 12 people in it.The immunohistochemical determination of SP expression
the determination of PS2 expression by Western blotting
and the determination of contents of aninohexose and phosphatide were carried out. Results In the treatment group
a linear correlation was existing between the contents of aninohexose and phosphatide and the expression of SP and PS2(P<0.01).Conclusion Jianwei Yuyang Granule prevents the occurrence and relapse of ulceration by increasing the expression of PS2 and SP and by its influence on hydrophobicity of gastric mucosa.
