Relevance of TCM Syndromes of Irritable Bowel Syndrome with Intestinal Cholecystokinin,C-fos and Substance P
Objective To explore the relevance of TCM syndromes of irritable bowel syndrome(IBS) with the intestinal cholecystokinin(CCK)
c-fos and substance P.Methods The symptom check list(SCL-90) was adopted to examine the IBS patients and the persons in the normal control group to evaluate their psychological status
and the CCK
c-fos and substance P of them were measured with the immunohistochemical method for analysis. Results The IBS patients were obviously combative and with anxiety and depression;the significant difference existed in those who were of liver-related or non liver-related on anxiety and depression(P<0.01);and there showed a significant difference between the excess and deficiency syndromes in substance P
c-fos of average positive area and optical density(OD) of ileocecal region(P<0.05).Conclusion The TCM syndromes of IBS patients have relevance with the expression of c-fos and substance P of intestinal mucosa.
