Study on the TCM Pathogenesis and Syndrome Differentiation of Myofascitis by Cluster Analysis
pathogenesis and treatment methods of myofascitis. Methods The symptom database was established through dynamic observation on 116 cases of myofascitis.TCM syndrome classification of myofascitis was analyzed with frequency statistics and cluster analysis for studying its pathogenesis and treatment methods. Results The cluster analysis showed that myofascitis can be classified into TCM syndromes of cold-damp stagnation in muscles and tendons and qi stagnation with blood stasis
with the former as the main one.Its incidence was closely related to strain of muscles and tendons and invasion of cold-damp.Conclusion The cold-damp stagnation in muscles and tendons complicated with qi stagnation and blood stasis is the basic syndrome of myofascitis. The cluster analysis can be used in the study of syndrome differentiation.
