Clinical Observation on 32 Cases of Lumber Intervertebral Disc Herniation Treated by Electro-acupuncture on Huatuo Jiaji Points
Objective To observe the effect of electro-acupuncture on Huatuo Jiaji points for lumber interverbral disc herniation(LIDH).Methods The LIDH patients were randomized into treatment group(32 cases)
treated by electro-acupuncture on the corresponding Huatuo Jiaji points of the affected side
and control group(30 cases)
treated by administration of slow-released diclofenac sodium tablets for oral taking. The therapeutic effect and score of related scales were observed in both groups. Results The therapeutic effect after the first-time treatment and a course treatment of the treatment group was significantly better than that of the control group(P<0.05).However
there is no significant difference between the two groups in the improvement of the visual analog scale(VAS)(P>0.05).Conclusion In treatment of LIDH
electro-acupuncture on Huatuo Jiaji points and diclofenac sodium could make quick-starting effect with long-term improvement
however
the electro-acupuncture treatment is better in comprehensive effect.
