Effect of Anxin Granule on the Restenosis after Percutaneous Coronary Intervention
Objective To study the effect and mechanism of Anxin Granule (Herba granule for the coronary disease) on the restenosis after percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI). Methods Sixty patients after PCI were randomized into test group and control group. The patients in the control group received conventional western medicine treatment
the test group received Anxin Granule additionally. The restenosis rate
incidence of cardiovascular event
and changes of clinical symptoms and blood lipid of both groups in six months were observed. The levels of interleukin 18(IL-18) and high sensitivity C-reactive protein (Hs-CRP) one month after operation were compared with those before operation. Results In six months after PCI
the difference between two groups in restenosis was not significant (P >0.05). The incidence of cardiovascular event in both groups was significantly different (P <0.05). The total effective rate of the test group was superior to that of the control group (P<0.01). The improvement in blood lipid
ventricular wall movement section
and left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF) of the test group was better than that of the control group (P <0.01 or P<0.05). The decrease of IL-18 and Hs-CRP of the test group was better than that of the control group (P<0.01). Conclusion The effect of Anxin Granule on the restenosis rate is not significantly different from that of the conventional western medicine treatment
but is superior in reducing the cardiovascular event incidence after PCI and regulating the level of blood lipid
