Exploration of the Distribution Regularity of TCM Syndrome in Gouty Arthritis
ObjectiveTo explore the distribution regularity of TCM syndrome in gouty arthritis.MethodsTotally 444 cases of gouty arthritis were collected from 8 hospitals in Jiangsu province and divided into four TCM syndromes
age and region was counted and blood uric acid(BUA)
erythrocyte sedimentation rate(ESR) and C-reactive protein(CRP) were detected. The distribution regularity of TCM syndromes were analyzed according to different disease duration
age
region
stage and laboratory parameters.ResultsThere were 150 cases(33.78%) of damp-heat brewing and binding syndrome
131 cases(29.50%) of stasis heat obstruction syndrome
117 cases(26.35%) of phlegm turbidity obstruction syndrome and 46 cases(10.36%) of liver-kidney yin deficiency syndrome in 444 cases of gouty arthritis. The disease duration of stasis heat obstruction syndrome and liver-kidney yin deficiency syndrome was longer than that of the damp-heat brewing and binding syndrome and phlegm turbidity obstruction syndrome(P<0.05).The younger was mainly with damp-heat brewing and binding syndrome and the elder was mainly with stasis heat obstruction syndrome(P<0.05).The main syndrome was damp-heat brewing and binding syndrome
phlegm turbidity obstruction syndrome and stasis heat obstruction syndrome in the acute period
intermittent period and chronic period respectively(P<0.05).There were significant differences between syndromes in BUA
ESR and CRP as well(P<0.05).ConclusionThe distribution of TCM syndrome in gouty arthritis is related to the disease duration
