Objective To observe the therapeutic effect of Kidney-Supplementing Blood-Quickening Liver-Clearing Formula （KBLF） combined with Clomiphene for polycystic ovary syndrome （PCOS）. Methods Totally 180 cases of PCOS were randomized into the control group and observation group

with 90 in each. Both groups were given Clomiphene and the observation group was added with KBLF. The treatment course lasted for 3 menstrual cycles. The therapeutic effect

ovulation rate and pregnancy rate was observed. Results The total effective rate

ovulation rate and pregnancy rate in the observation group was 92.2%

82.2% and 56.7% respectively. The total effective rate

ovulation rate and pregnancy rate in the control group was 78.9%

40.0% and 24.4% respectively. There were significant differences between groups in the total effective rate

ovulation rate and pregnancy rate （P<0.05）. The levels of LH and T were significantly decreased in both groups after treatment

but the FSH level and endometrial thickness was significantly increased （P<0.05）. There were significant differences between groups in LH

FSH and endometrial thickness after treatment （P<0.05）. Conclusion KBLF combined with Clomiphene is effective for PCOS. It can increase the ovulation rate and pregnancy rate

with a better effect than Clomiphene alone.
