An Analysis of TCM Pattern and Formula for Parkinson’s Disease
Objective To explore the pattern distribution and formula law of Chinese medicine for Parkinson’s disease(PD) according to literature study. Methods The articles of randomized controlled clinical studies on Chinese medicine and integrative medicine for PD were searched from VIP database
Wanfang database and China National Knowledge Infrastructure(CNKI).The frequency and cluster analysis was applied to analyze the pattern
medicinal
efficacy and channel entry of medicinal. Results Totally 116articles were included and 14patterns were involved. The most frequent pattern was liverkidney yin deficiency pattern and it accounted for 55.2%
with a significant difference between other patterns(P<0.01).Totally 140kinds of medicinal were involved and the overall frequency of medicinal application was 1 102.The commonly used herbs were Baishao(Radix Paeoniae Alba)
Heshouwu(Radix Polygoni Multiflori)
Shanzhuyu(Fructus Corni)
Danggui(Radix Angelicae Sinensis)
Shudihuang(Radix Rehmanniae Praeparata)
Chuanxiong(Rhizoma Chuanxiong)
Tianma(Rhizoma Gastrodiae)
Guijia(Carapax et Plastrum Testudinis)
Danshen(Radix et Rhizoma Salviae Miltiorrhizae)
Jiangcan(Bombyx Batryticatus)
Gouteng(Ramulus Uncariae Cum Uncis)and Quanxie(Scorpio). One hundred and forty kinds of medicinal could be divided into 31categories according to efficacy. The commonly used medicinal categories were blood-supplementing medicinal
liver-calming wind-extinguishing medicinal
blood-quickening medicinal
yin-supplementing medicinal
qi-supplementing medicinal
kidney-supplementing essence-securing medicinal
yang-supplementing medicinal
heatclearing blood-cooling medicinal
liver-repressing medicinal and orifice-opening medicinal
especially blood-supplementing medicinal
liver-calming wind-extinguishing medicinal and blood-quickening medicinal(P<0.01).There were significant differences in the distribution of channel entry of 140herbs(P<0.01)
especially the proportion of liver channel(P<0.05).Conclusion The main pattern of PD is liver-kidney yin deficiency pattern and kidney-supplementing liver-emolliating and bloodquickening stasis-transforming herbs are commonly used.
