Dazhui(GV14)
Baihui(GV20) and Taichong(LR3).The electro-acupuncture was used on Yintang(LI20)
Baihui(GV20)and bilateral Yingxiang(GV29).The acupuncture was conducted in the treatment group every other day for 12 times. The control group was orally given 10mg cetirizine once daily for 4 weeks. The Total Nasal Symptoms Score(TNSS) and Total Non-Nasal Symptoms Score(TNNSS)were observed before and after treatment. The QOL was evaluated with the Rhinoconjunctivitis Quality of Life Questionnaire(RQLQ).Results The TNSS was significantly decreased in both groups after 2-week and 4-week treatment(P<0.05 or P<0.01) and there was a significant difference between groups after 2-week treatment(P<0.05).There were significant differences between before and after 4-week treatment in TNNSS
RQLQ and sleep in both groups(P<0.05).There were significant differences between before and after 2-week treatment in TNNSS and RQLQ in both groups(P<0.05).There was a significant difference between groups in RQLQ after 4-week treatment(P<0.05).Conclusion The regulating spirit acupuncture can relieve the symptoms
