Theoretical Discussion on Treating Functional Dyspepsia From Spleen
Functional dyspepsia is highly relevant to noisy stomach
fullness and epigastric pain in Chinese medicine. The root pathogenesis of noisy stomach is spleen-stomach deficiency and the tip pathogenesis is phlegm-damp
heat-evil and qi-stagnation.The pathogenesis of fullness is abnormal qi movements caused by spleen-stomach dysfunction. The pathogenesis of epigastric pain is stomach qi obstruction leading to pain. Therefore treating functional dyspepsia from spleen can obtain a multiplier effect.
