Discussion on Functional Gastrointestinal Disorders From the Spleen
Functional gastrointestinal disorders( FGIDs) are a kind of systemic diseases caused by gastrointestinal dysfunction and symptoms overlap is very common. At present
most scholars believe that FGIDs are related with abnormal brain-gut axis
gastrointestinal motility disorders
visceral hypersensitivity
psychological factors and intestinal microenvironment disorders. Chinese medicine believes that‘spleen governing movement and transformation’theory plays an important role in the treatment of FGIDs. Treating FGIDs from the spleen such as qi-blood
wind-damp and five zang viscera has achieved a better efficacy in clinic.
