Effect of Lutong Granules on TCM Syndromes in Migraine Rats With Wind-Damp and Stasis Syndrome
Objective To evaluate the efficacy of Lutong Granules for migraine rats with wind-damp and stasis syndrome. Methods Sixty Sprague Dawley rats were randomized into the blank group
model group
treatment group and control group
with 15 in each. The migraine rat models with wind-damp and stasis syndrome were established in all groups except the blank group. The treatment group was gavaged with 2 g /kg·d of Lutong Granules from the 2nd day after modeling. The control group was gavaged with 1 mg /kg ·d of Flunarizine Capsules. The blank group and model group were gavaged with same volume of distilled water. The gastric administration lasted for 7 days. The body temperature
food intake
fecal water content and scratching head times within 2 hours were observed at the1 st
14th and 21 st day of modeling. The component values of green
blue and red tongues were recorded with Image J1. 36 b software on the 14 th and 21 st day of modeling. Results The body temperature and food intake were significantly decreased and the fecal water content and scratching head times were significantly increased in the model group on the 14 th and 21 st day( P < 0. 01). Comparing with the model group at the same time point
the body temperature and food intake were significantly increased and the fecal water content and scratching head times were significantly decreased in the treatment group on the 21 st day( P < 0. 05 or P < 0. 01). Comparing with the model group and control group at the same time point
the component values of green
blue and red tongues were significantly decreased in the treatment group on the 21 st day( P < 0. 05 or P < 0. 01). Conclusion Lutong Granules is effective for migraine rats with wind-damp and stasis syndrome. It can obviously improve traditional Chinese medicine syndromes.
