Clinical Observation on Liver-Nourishing Enzyme-Declining Mixture for 40 Cases of Chronic Hepatitis B
Objective To observe the efficacy and safety of Liver-Nourishing Enzyme-Declining Mixture( LEM)on chronic hepatitis B. Methods Totally 80 cases of chronic hepatitis B were randomized into the treatment group and control group
with 40 in each. The treatment group was given LEM
30 ml /time and 3 times daily. The control group was given Diammonium Glycyrrhizinate Enteric-Coated Capsules
3 capsules /time and 3 times daily. The treatment course in both groups lasted for 3 months. The efficacy was observed
the TCM symptom score was compared and the levels of alanine aminotransferase( ALT)
aspartate aminotransferase( AST) and α-glutamyl transpeptidase( GGT) were detected. The adverse reactions were observed. Results The total effective rate of the treatment group and control group were 82. 5% and 75. 0% respectively
with a significant difference between groups( P <0. 05). After treatment
the scores of poor appetite
epigastric distension and depression
lassitude
rib-side pain
soreness and weakness of waist and knees
and dysphoria in chestpalms-soles were significantly decreased in both groups( P < 0. 05)
especially in the treatment group( P < 0. 05). The levels of ALT
AST and GGT in both groups were significantly improved after treatment( P < 0. 05)
especially in the treatment group( P < 0. 05). The number of cases with normal safety index in the treatment group was larger than those in the control group( P < 0. 05).Conclusion LEM is effective and safe for chronic hepatitis B.
