CHEN Keji’s Medication Laws for Treating Blood Stasis Pattern of Cardiovascular Diseases: A Data Mining Research
Objective To analyze the medication laws for blood stasis pattern of cardiovascular diseases treated by Academician CHEN Keji. Methods Medical cases with complete data recording Academician CHEN’ s treatment were collected and the database was established to pool general information
first visit to doctor
physical and chemical inspection
prescriptions of traditional Chinese medicine and further consultation. The medicinals for promoting invigorating blood circulation and eliminating stasis were calculated
and the correspondence of medicinalsmedicinals
medicinals-diseases
and medicinals-symptoms were analyzed
with assocation rules
and frequently used medicinal geared to symptoms and physical signs were treated by multidimensional data analysis. Results A total of 20 medicinals on activating blood and eliminating stasis were used for cardiovascular diseases with blood stasis syndrome( BSS). The top 5 frequently-used medicinals were Chishao( Radix Paeoniae Rubra
32. 13%)
Yanhusuo( Rhizoma Corydalis
29. 60%)
Chuanxiong( Ligusticum Chuanxiong
28. 88%)
Danshen( Salvia Miltiorrhiza
25. 99%) and Honghua( Safflower Carthamus
23. 10%). Association analysis between medicinals and diseases showed that Chuanxiong( Ligusticum Chuanxiong) and Chishao( Radix Paeoniae Rubra) had the highest confidence coefficient( CC) for post-Stenting coronary heart disease patients with blood-stasis pattern. The most frequently used medicinals for hypertension patients with BSS were Niuxi( Achyranthes bidentata)
Chishao( Radix Paeoniae Rubra)
Gandihuang( dried Rehmannia)
Chuanxiong( Ligusticum Chuanxiong) and Danshen( Salvia Miltiorrhiza). The most frequently used medicinals for arrhythmia patients with BSS were Yanhusuo( Rhizoma Corydalis)
Chuanxiong( Ligusticum Chuanxiong)
Gandihuang( dried rehmannia)
Danshen( Salvia Miltiorrhiza) and Danggui( Angelica sinensis). Yanhusuo( Rhizoma Corydalis
0. 80)
Danshen( Salvia Miltiorrhiza
0. 80) and Xiebai( Allium macrostemon Bunge
0. 80) had the highest CC when cardiovascular diseases presented with cardiac pain. While the CC of Chishao( Radix Paeoniae Rubra) was 0. 80 when purple dark tongue with yellow coating occurred. When purple dark tongue accompanied with intolerance of cold
the CC of Danggui( Angelica sinensis
1. 00) was the highest. Multidimensional data analysis showed that the medication differed when BSS presented with different symptoms and signs
Mudanpi( Cortex Moutan Radicis) always be selected to treat ecchymosis tongue
Yanhusuo( Rhizoma Corydalis) treat cardiac pain and Chuanxiong( Ligusticum Chuanxiong) to treat headache. Conclusion The analysis results were consistent with the characteristics of Academician CHEN’ s selecting medicinals in treating cardiovascular diseases according to the differences in disease type
