Reliability and Validity Evaluation on TCM Syndrome Scale for Congestive Heart Failure
Objective To observe the reliability and validity of TCM Symptom Scale for Congestive Hear Failure( TCM-SSCHF) and examine its stability. Methods The TCM-SSCHF encompasses 28 parameters under 9 dimensionalities. Cases of 450 multi-centre inpatients with CHF were collected for the evaluation. The internal consistency of each score was evaluated by the calculated Cronbach coefficient alpha; the test-retest reliability was evaluated by calculating the score of Kappa for each dimension. Result It is found that Cronbach α was 0. 678
split-half reliability was 0. 569 and Kappa was 0. 659 to 0. 769. The relation coefficient between each item and its corresponding dimensionality goes between 0. 390 and 0. 965. The commonality for the dimensionality of each item was 50. 9% to 92. 2%. Conclusion The TCM-SSCHF is of favorable reliability and validity
and thus the feasibility. It to a great extent encompasses the information of common CHF symptom
well-satisfying the needs for clinical measurement.
