Evaluation of Reliability,Validity and Responsiveness of Clinical Efficacy Scale of Traditional Chinese Medicine Syndromes of Infantile Anorexia( Feeding Disorder)
Objective To evaluate the quality of Clinical Efficacy Scale of Traditional Chinese Medicine( TCM)Syndromes of Infantile Anorexia( Feeding Disorder). Methods Collect 253 cases of anorectic children and 27 cases of healthy children adopting clinical questionnaire of Clinical Efficacy Scale of TCM Syndromes of Infantile Anorexia( Feeding Disorder). Use principal component analysis to carry out exploratory factor analysis
which was to evaluate the construct validity. Calculate correlation coefficients between total scores of the scale and dimensions and between dimensions and items to evaluate the content validity. Calculate correlation coefficients twice of total scores of the scale and dimensions to evaluate the test-retest reliability. Calculate Cronbach’s α of parity items and correlation coefficient of two Cronbach’s α to evaluate the split-half reliability. Calculate Cronbach’s α of total scores of the scale and dimensions to evaluate the internal consistency. Calculate TCM syndromes total scores of healthy and anorectic children before and after treatment and scores of dimensions to evaluate the responsiveness. Results Items included in 10 extracted common factors possessed logical relation which was preconceived before the test. Besides Yin deficiency dimension
correlation coefficients of total scores of the scale and other dimensions were greater than 0. 4( 0. 42 to 0. 63). Besides partial lean shape
correlation coefficients of other items and this dimension were greater than 0. 4( 0. 50 to 0. 83). Correlation coefficient of twice calculated total scores of the scale was 0. 66. Correlation coefficients of all dimensions were greater than 0. 4( 0. 43 to 1. 00). Cronbach’s α of parity items were respectively0. 58 and 0. 55; correlation coefficient of two Cronbach’ s α was 0. 64. Cronbach’ s α of the scale was 0. 74.Cronbach’s α of all dimensions were greater than 0. 4( 0. 47 to 0. 72). The difference of TCM syndromes scores of dimensions and total scores of healthy and anorectic children was significant( P < 0. 01)
so was TCM syndromes scores and scores of dimensions of anorectic children before and after treatment. Conclusion Clinical Efficacy Scale of TCM Syndromes of Infantile Anorexia( Feeding Disorder)
with good reliability
validity and responsiveness
could be used to evaluate efficacy of common TCM syndromes of the disease.
