Evaluation of Clinical Symptom Assessment Questionnaire of Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease at Stationary Phase on the Reliability,Validity and Reaction Degrees
validity and reaction degrees of the clinical symptom assessment questionnaire of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease( COPD) at stationary phase( beta). Methods Since January 2008 to June 20106
306 inpatients with COPD at stationary phase were chosen from the first affiliated hospital of Henan College of Chinese medicine and other three tertiary referral hospitals to finish the question investigation. The reliability degree was evaluated with Cronbach’ α factor and Guttman 1 /2 reliability and resurvey reliability. The validity degree was assessed with sensitivity analysis
content validity and construct validity. The feasibility was estimated with response rate. And the reaction degree and effect magnitude were evaluated with the integrals before and after treatment paired T test. Results The effective response rate of COPD questionnaire was 95. 1%
which shown an excellent feasibility. The Cronbach’ α factor was 0. 733 and Guttman 1 /2 reliability was 0. 817
which presented a good internal reliability
a low resurvey reliability and a fair external reliability. The correlation seemed good between each entry and the total score
while poor among the entries. Two common factors were screened by factor analysis when λ > 1 inferred a good construct validity. There were significant differences( P < 0. 05) in the T test analysis between each item score and the total scores before and after treatment which was shown a good reaction degree.Effect magnitude of the total scores and scores of each item except item of cough up phlegm presented medium or upper effects. Conclusion The COPD questionnaire presented a good reliability and construct validity
but a general content validity in COPD patients at stationary phase. It could reasonably reflect the treatment effects
so as to be a clinical effect evaluated tool in COPD patients.
