ZHANG Binghou’s Experience in Treating Rheumatoid Arthritis with Cold and Damp Stagnation Applying Regulating Blood and Dispelling Wind Method
BSTRACT This paper is to sum up Professor ZHANG Binghou’ s experience in treating Rheumatoid Arthritis( RA) with cold and damp stagnation type. Professor ZHANG emphasizes that blood deficiency is the basic cause of RA. He holds that the point of pathology is deficiency leading to stagnation
and at last causing blood stasis resisting choroid. Methods of regulating blood
dispelling wind
warming meridians and dredging collaterals should be applied in treatment. Enriching and regulating method is for blood deficiency. Warming and regulating method is for cold in blood. Removing and regulating method is for blood stasis. Thus regulating blood method is significant in RA treatment.
