Objective To evaluate clinical effects of Fufang Shengdi Heji（ 复 方 生 地 合 剂） combined with western medicine in the treatment of 33 cases of systemic lumpus erythematosus with syndrome of internal heat and yin deficiency. Methods Totally 66 cases of SLE with syndrome of internal heat due to yin deficiency were randomly divided into a treatment group and a control group

with 33 cases in each. Both groups were given orally with 0. 2

mg /（ kg· d） of prednisone acetate tablets and 0. 1 g of hydroxychloroquine sulfate tablets each time

twice per day. The treatment group was added with Fufang Shengdi Heji（ 复方生地合剂）

30 ml each time

three times per day. Both groups were treated for 3 months. Clinical effects on patients in both groups were compared

and systemic lupus erythematosus disease activity index（ SLE-DAI）
