Analysis of Onset Features of Nerve Root Type Cervical Spondylosis:Based on Clinical Scientific Research Information Sharing System
Objective To explore the onset features of nerve root type cervical spondylosis by obtaining real world data adopting clinical scientific research information sharing system. Methods Take 628 inpatients and outpatients with nerve root type cervical spondylosis from sharing system database of Wangjing Hospital
China Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences as research object. Extract patients’ age
gender
course
visiting solar term
main symptoms
pain assessment on admission
cervical dysfunction assessment and Chinese medicine syndromes by clinical scientific research information sharing system. Standardize clinical symptoms and Chinese medicine syndromes.Make statistics analysis on the extracted information. Results The median of patients’ age was 50. Top illness ratio was in the age of 45 to 65. Incidence of females was higher than that of males. Average course was 1. 8 years. The most solar term of visiting or on admission was Great Heat
mainly summer and autumn. The most main symptom was pain
70% of all cases. Few patients visited hospital for numbness alone. Patients mostly got middle-degree pain
cervical pain common. Patients of middle-degree cervical dysfunction were common. The most differentiated syndrome was Qi stagnation and blood stasis
covering 51. 43%. The second was wind chill resistance
which patients got the highest scores of cervical dysfunction and pain on average. Conclusion Nerve root type cervical spondylosis was common in middle-aged and elderly patients. Females were more than males. The course was long and related to solar terms. Patients usually took pain as the main symptom when visiting. Cervical pain was common. The degree of pain and cervical dysfunction was partial to medium. Qi stagnation and blood stasis was the main Chinese Medicine syndrome. Patients of wind chill resistance syndrome suffered more cervical dysfunction and pain.
