ZHENG Wu, YANG Jinkun. Tumor Microenvironment and Its TCM Pathogenesis[J]. Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine2015, 56(20): 1720-1724.DOI: 10.13288/j.11-2166/r.2015.20.003.
Tumor microenvironment refers to a local external environment inseparable from the process of proliferation
invasion and metastasis of tumor cells. Just like normal extracellular environment
tumor microenvironment is a complex micro eco-network
in which low oxygen
low p H value and chronic inflammation are important factors to lead tumor tissues to abnormal proliferation
metastasis and relapsing
and it is similar to traditional Chinese medicine( TCM) microenvironment caused by blending insufficiency of the spleen
phlegm
stasis
cancer poison and other pathological factors. It suggests that TCM etiology and pathogenesis of tumor may be explored from the point of microenvironment. By studying the relationship between the microenvironment and TCM etiology and pathogenesis of tumor
reference could be provided for using tumor microenvironment theory in clinical to guide TCM anti-tumor therapy.
