Theory and Method of “Not a Single Disease-Syndrome Differentiation” for Parkinson’s Disease
Traditional Chinese medicine( TCM) understandings of Parkinson’s disease mostly belong to the category of "tremor syndrome"
but the knowledge of the non-motor symptoms is ignored. However
at present the nonmotor symptoms have become the key problems to affect quality of life of patients with Parkinson’ s disease
and also have replaced motor complications to become a hotspot in current medical research. The theory of "not a single disease-syndrome differentiation"for Parkinson’s disease based on the assessment on motor and non-motor complications of Parkinson’s disease are put forward. The specific syndrome differentiation methods and steps include that firstly
list and classify the main symptoms of the disease and conclude them into each kind of categories of TCM syndrome differentiation system; and secondly
plan the first syndrome differentiation as a whole and make a careful and detailed analysis to unify into the theory of syndrome differentiation of TCM visceral manifestation.
