WU Weiping’s Experiences in Treating Interstitial Lung Disease by Differentiating Disease,Syndrome and Symptom
This article is to introduce Prof. WU Weiping’s experiences in treating interstitial lung disease
taking stage and syndrome as outline
taking symptom as detail
by adopting the differentiation mode of combining disease
syndrome and symptom. Prof. WU holds that dualism of lung flaccidity and lung Bi-syndrome should be applied when naming interstitial lung disease. The pathogenesis is deficiency of Qi and Yin and phlegm stagnation in collaterals. The key is deficiency
phlegm and stagnation. The disease location is lung and kidney. The treatment includes replenishing Qi and Yin
removing phlegm and stasis
and dredging collaterals. The disease is divided into three stages and six syndromes according to its progression. Seizing main symptoms
dealing with second symptoms
considering concomitant symptoms
according to tongue and pulse
as well as combing macroscopic and microcosmic view is emphasized when making syndrome differentiation.
