From “Strengthening Body Resistance ” to “Consolidating Body Resistance and Clearing the Source ”:Inheritance and Innovation of Chinese Medical Theory of Cancer Treatment
an academic system of "strengthening body resistance"has been formed. Recently
based on this academic system
it is indicated from many clinical and experimental studies that Chinese medicine has certain advantages and characteristics in controlling cancer. This paper systematically reviews the theoretical origin of academic theory of "strengthening body resistance"in treating cancer and its process of development and maturity. On the basis of the related researches about this theory
the authors elucidate the scientific connotation and theory extension further. They put forward the theory of "consolidating body resistance and clearing the source"and discuss the application from the aspects of clinical and basic research. This paper proves that the theory of "consolidating body resistance and clearing the source"could help to take characteristics and advantages of modern Chinese medicine in the treatment of cancer
and also accords with the development direction of modern medicine in the treatment of cancer.
