Observation on Short-term Curative Effects of Cytokine-induced Killer Cells Combined With Xiaoyan Tang( 消岩汤) in the Treatment of 60 Patients with Lung Cancer and Giving Up Chemoradiotherapy
Objective To observe short-term curative effects and safety of treatment with cytokine-induced killer cells( CIK) combined with Xiaoyan Tang on patients with lung cancer who give up chemoradiotherapy. Methods Sixty patients with lung cancer who gave up chemoradiotherapy were selected and given CIK therapy for 18 days. These patients started to take Xiaoyan Tang
one dose a day since one week before blood collection until the end of CIK therapy
totally for 25 days. After the treatment
the relations between patients’ gender
age
pathology
clinical stages and curative effects were analyzed. The improvement in depression
physical strength
sleep
and appetite was also observed
and the levels of D dimer( D-D2)
fibrinogen( Fb)
carcino-embryonic antigen( CEA)
cell keratin19 fragment
alanine aminotransferase( ALT)
aspartate aminotransferase( AST)
γ-glutamyltransferase( GGT)
urea( UREA) and creatinine( CREA) before and after treatment were compared. Results The effective rate in female patients was obviously higher than that in male( P < 0. 05). There were statistically significant differences in control rates between age < 65 and age ≥ 65
between squamous carcinoma and adenocarcinoma
between compound carcinoma and adenocarcinoma
and between stage Ⅰ and stage Ⅳ( P < 0. 05). The improvement rates of living quality about depression
fatigue
insomnia and poor appetite respectively was 56. 3%
58. 1%
53. 6% and55. 0%. There were no statistically significant differences in levels of CEA
cell keratin 19 fragment
D-D2
Fb
ALT
AST
GGT and UREA before and after treatment( P > 0. 05). And the level of CREA significantly decreased than that before treatment( P < 0. 05). Conclusion CIK combined with Xiaoyan Tang may improve living quality and prognosis
