Onset of Functional Dyspepsia Symptoms Based on the Theory of Spleen Governing Body Fluid Transportation and Transformation
The clinical symptoms of functional dyspepsia correspond with "distention and fullness"
"gastric upset"and "stomachache"in Chinese medicine. Dampness stagnancy due to spleen deficiency syndrome
caused by dysfunction of spleen governing body fluid transportation and transformation
can not only lead to lower gastrointestinal diarrhea
but is related to upper gastrointestinal symptoms
such as early satiety
postprandial satiety
epigastric pain and upper abdominal burning sensation. Therefore
the authors hold that body fluid metabolic disorder may cause functional dyspepsia and provide theoretical support to paying attention to using eliminating dampness herbs
when invigorating spleen and regulating Qi-flowing herbs are applied to treat functional dyspepsia clinically.
