Medical Ethics Review Committee of Chinese medicine is founded to protect the rights and interests of the subjects during the clinical trial of Chinese medicine. However

due to the current general lack of ethical awareness

many problems occur in its development. This article sums up the problems from the internal and external of the Medical Ethics Review Committee of Chinese medicine and the issues in the process of ethical review

which include the following aspects: internal unified access system

personnel lack of training

independence cannot being guaranteed

external lack of supervision and the third party monitoring

timing of first review during the review process

poor tracking review

whether the rational decision of the researcher being respected

whether the ethical consciousness of scientific study researchers also being examined and so on. These discussion is trying to arouse the researchers’ understanding and thinking of the ethical consciousness

thus promoting the healthy development of medical ethics review.
