Impact of Luofengning DecoctionⅡ(络风宁2号方) on Inflammatory Factors of Patients with Cardiorenal Syndrome
Objective To explore the possible mechanism of Luofengning Decoction Ⅱ in the treatment of cardiorenal syndrome( CRS). Methods One hundred and twenty CRS patients were randomized into a full formula group
a without wind-expelling herbs group and a western medicine group( 40 cases in each group). The western medicine group was only given routine treatment. In addition to the routine treatment
the full formula group was also orally given single herbal concentrate-granules of Luofengning Decoction Ⅱ
one dose every day. In addition to the routine treatment
the without wind-expelling herbs group was also orally given the single herbal concentrate-granules of the prescription without wind-expelling herbs
one dose every day. All groups were treated for 2 months. The serum levels of high-sensitivity C-reactive protein( hs-CRP)
lipoprotein-associated phospholipase A2( Lp-PLA2) and cardiotrophin1( CT-1) in all groups before and after treatment were compared. Side effect was examined. Results Compared with before treatment in the same group
levels of hs-CRP and LP-PLA2 decreased
but level of CT-1increased in the full formula group after treatment( P < 0. 05 or P < 0. 01). After treatment
levels of LP-PLA2 and CT-1 increased in the western medicine group( P < 0. 05 or P < 0. 01)
and level of CT-1 increased in the without wind-expelling herbs group( P < 0. 05). After treatment
levels of hs-CRP and LP-PLA2 in the full formula group was much lower than those in the without wind-expelling herbs group and the western medicine group( P < 0. 05)
and level of LP-PLA2 in the without wind-expelling herbs group was much lower than that in the western medicine group( P < 0. 05). After treatment
level of CT-1 in the full formula group was much higher than that in the without wind-expelling herbs group
but lower than that in the western medicine group( P < 0. 05)
and level of CT-1 in the without wind-expelling herbs group was much lower than that in the western medicine group( P < 0. 05). Conclusion Luofengning Decoction Ⅱ is prescribed based on benefiting Qi
warming Yang
promoting blood circulation and diuresis method with wind-expelling herbs added in
which improved the effect of decreasing the levels of hs-CRP and LP-PLA2 in CRS patients. The possible mechanism might be decreasing the serum levels of hs-CRP and LP-PLA2 to protect the function of heart and kidney.
