Polycystic ovary syndrome( PCOS) commonly occurs in adolescent girls and women of childbearing age. It is a horrible threat to the psychological and physical health of modern women. Constitution is long-term stable state of human body by natural endowment and acquired nutrition
which determines the susceptibility of individuals and the outcome of diseases. Chinese medicine expert Professor Wang Qi puts forward the diagnosis and treatment mode of "constitution
disease and syndrome differentiation". Treatment based on constitution differentiation is an important method to guide diagnosis and treatment of diseases. By analyzing related literature of PCOS patients’ constitutions
the authors find that phlegm-dampness constitution
Yang deficiency constitution
Qi stagnation constitution
and other constitution types are closely related to the occurrence of the disease. This paper is to summarize common constitution types of PCOS and introduce Prof. Wang Qi’s ideas and methods of treatment based on constitution differentiation aiming at different constitution types for clinical reference.
