Clinical Observation on Baogankang (葆肝康) Formula Combined with Entecavir in Treating 32 Cases with Chronic Hepatitis B of Stagnation of Liver Qi and Spleen Deficiency Type
Objective To observe clinical effects of Baogankang( 葆 肝 康) formula combined with entecavir treating chronic hepatitis B. Methods Sixty-six patients with chronic hepatitis B of stagnation of liver Qi and spleen deficiency type were randomly divided into treatment group and control group with 33 in each. The control group took entecavir dispersible tablets
0. 5 mg
once a day
and made intravenous drip with Compound Glycyrrhizin injection
100 ml
once a day. Based on the treatment in the control group
the treatment group also took Baogankang formula 1 dose a day
one half at 1 h after meals in the morning and the other half in the evening. The treatment in both groups last for 2 months. The researchers respectively observed Liver function including alanine aminotransferase( ALT)
aspartate aminotransferase( AST) and total bilirubin( TBIL)
serum fibrosis index including procollagen Ⅲ( PCⅢ)
Ⅳ-collagen( Ⅳ-C)
laminin( LN) and hyaluronidase( HA)
prothrombin time( PT)
scores of signs and symptoms and evaluated clinical effects before and after treatment in the two groups. Results The total effective rate in the treatment group was 93. 75 %
but in the control group was 75. 00 %. The treatment group is better than the control group( P < 0. 05). Compared with those before treatment
ALT
AST and TBIL decreased after treatment in both groups( P < 0. 05)
and those in the treatment group reduced more significantly than that in the control group( P < 0. 05). Compared with those before treatment
HA
Ⅳ-C
PC Ⅲ and LN decreased obviously after treatment in the treatment group( P < 0. 01)
and those in the treatment group reduced more significantly than that in the control group( P < 0. 01). Compared with that before treatment
PT decreased obviously after treatment in both groups( P < 0. 05)
but there was no statistically difference in the comparison between groups( P > 0. 05);Compared with that before treatment
scores of symptoms decreased obviously after treatment in the treatment group(P < 0. 05)
and were significantly lower than those in the control group( P < 0. 05). Conclusion Baogankang formula combined with entecavir can significantly improve liver function and coagulation function
and alleviate hepatic fibrosis and improve symptoms of patients with chronic hepatitis B.
