Relationship between Acupuncture and Intestinal Flora: Based on the Theory of Qi Movement Ascending and Descending
Intestinal flora and human health have close relationship. The change of intestinal flora steady state may lead to corresponding diseases. Restoring original steady state may treat corresponding diseases. Acupuncture
as an important part to compose Chinese medicine therapy
is widely used clinically. The effect of acupuncture is to balance Yin and Yang and make body restore steady state
which has consistency with intestinal flora steady state in essence. The theory of Qi movement ascending and descending in Chinese medicine could be used to make theoretical analysis of acupuncture treating diseases of intestinal flora alteration.
