WANG Shouchuan’s Experience in Treating Pediatric Allergic Purpura: Hidden Wind and Stagnated Heat
WANG Shouchuan holds that hidden wind internal immersing
exogenous wind inducing
stagnated heat damaging collaterals are the pathogenesis key of pediatric allergic purpura. The methods of clearing heat
removing wind and activating blood circulation to dissipate blood stasis should be used throughout the treatment. The disease could be treated in 3 phases
acute attack stage
clinical remission stage and chronic extension stage. At acute attack stage
according to children patients’ degree of wind
heat and dampness pathogen
the methods of dispelling wind-clearing heat
clearing heat-cooling blood and clearing heat-eliminating dampness are used respectively. At clinical remission stage
the methods of benefiting Qi-nourishing Yin and activating blood circulation to dissipate blood stasis are mainly used. At chronic extension stage
strengthening vital Qi is mainly used
combined with resisting exogenous wind and inhibiting hidden wind to prevent the disease recurrence.
