Application of Warming Yang and Benefiting Qi Method in Treating Emergency and Severe Cases
emergency and severe cases are mostly treated by providing symptomatic support and functional replacement aiming at the causes. In Chinese medicine
it is thought that all the functions of the human body are propelled by Qi. Dysfunction of the body and the loss of Qi are closely related. The loss and consumption of Qi due to emergency and severe cases is more difficult. Thus the condition is serious
complicated and changeful. Though the pathogenesis is complicated
it is mostly related to Qi deficiency and fire decline. The authors put forward that based on syndrome differentiation
warming Yang and benefiting Qi method is combined with modern medicine symptomatic support to treat emergency and severe cases
including multiple organ dysfunction
severe infection
opportunistic infection
disorder of coagulation
fibrinolysis
and thermoregulation. At the same time of functional replacement
Qi loss may be invigorated. Further deterioration of dysfunction may be prevented. It might open up a new path for emergency and severe cases therapy.
