Objective To explore the relationship between chronic functional constipation（ CFC） and Chinese medicine constitution

metal and psychological status as well as related diseases. Methods Case control was used as 422 cases of CFC patients were included in an observation group while 422 cases of CFCfree patients were matched as the control group. Case information and clinical data were collected using the Chinese Medicine Constitution Survey Questionnaire and the Health Status Questionnaire. Then the distribution of CFC constitution was analyzed and the relevant risk factors were investigated with the Logistic regression analysis. Results It was found in constitution analysis that damp-heat constitution（ 21. 56%）

Qi deficiency constitution（ 17. 77%）

Yin deficiency constitution（ 15. 64%）

Yang deficiency constitution（ 11. 85%） and Qi stagnation constitution（ 9. 72%）in the observation group were significantly different from those in the control group（ P < 0. 05）. In the analysis of the relative risk factors
