SHENG Lixian’s Experience in Prevention and Treatment of Recurrent Respiratory Tract Infection in Children
This article summarizes SHENG lixian’ s experience in preventing and treating recurrent respiratory tract infection in children. Repeated respiratory tract infections in children are always due to lack of healthy Qi
insecurity of exterior Wei Qi
repeated external contraction
struggle between healthy Qi and pathogenic Qi and disharmony between Ying Qi and Wei Qi. Congenital deficiency and physical weakness are the internal causes of the disease;improper feeding
inadequate care and little contact with wind and sun are external causes. In clinical practice
the disease can be treated upon different stages including acute
postponing and recovery stages. The common methods are reinforcing healthy Qi( boosting Qi and fortifying the spleen
harmonizing Ying Qi and Wei Qi
nourishing Yin and promoting fluid production) and dispelling pathogenic Qi( dispersing wind and dissolving phlegm
