ZHENG Xin’s Experience in Treating Chronic Kidney Disease with Mineral and Bone Disorder: from the View of Wind
Professor ZHENG Xin thinks "deficiency in origin and excessive-wind in manifestation"is the basic characteristics of etiology and pathogenesis of chronic kidney disease-mineral and bone disorder( CKD-MBD). It is the essence of deficiency in kidney( essence)
spleen( qi-blood) and live( yin-blood)
but that is the manifestation of wind disturbance caused by excessive pathogenic qi( such as deficient yang
toxic
stasis
turbid phlegm
etc.).And the theory of the "wind-oriented"treatment of CKD-MBD was put forward. Syndrome differentiation is needed according to the caused wind. Nourishing the liver
invigorating the spleen
tonifying the kidney is applied to treat the origin
and resolving stasis
removing toxin
expelling wind
unblocking the collaterals is used to treat the manifestation. The method of calming liver wind
strengthening earth to prevent wind evil
removing stasis and detoxicating and expelling wind is flexibly applied in clinical practice and has better curative effect.
