Thinking of the Inheritance and Innovation of Traditional Chinese Medicine Theory:Taking Research on Defensive Qi’s Connotation as an Example
Defensive qi theory is an important part of traditional Chinese medicine( TCM) theory
and it is believed that the understanding of defensive qi must be rooted in the soil of its traditional culture
and according to the textual analysis of Inner Canon of Yellow Emporor( 《黄帝内经》)
one can only discover its true meaning. Using TCM thinking
through the analysis of the texts
the name of defensive qi was obtained because of its function. Its form is variable
and its function is unchanged. In other words
any qi or any materials that embodies the function of the defensive qi can be the form of it and perform the power of defensive qi. The important value of defensive qi in TCM system was discussed
and then put forward that TCM theory can be correctly interpreted by TCM thinking and language.
