Effects of DENG Tietao’s Footbath Recipe on Cognitive,Neurological,Motor Function and Sleep Quality of Patients of Stable Coronary Artery Disease Complicated with Stroke
Objective To observe the effects of DENG Tietao’s footbath recipe on cognitive function
nerve defect degree
motor function
blood lipid metabolism and sleep quality of stable coronary artery disease( SCAD) combined with stroke patients and adverse reactions. Methods Totally 108 patients with SCAD complicated with stroke were randomly divided into treatment group and control group
with 54 patients in each group. The control group was treated with basic treatment plus warm water footbath. The treatment group was treated with basic treatment plus DENG Tietao’s foot bath
once a day
for a total of 4 weeks. Before and after treatment
Concise Mental State Scale( MMSE)
Neurological Function Deficiency( NIHSS) Score
Motor Function Rating Scale( FMA)
and Sleep Quality Index( PSQI) scores were used to measure blood lipid levels [including total cholesterol( TC))
triglycerides( TG)
high-density lipoprotein cholesterol( HDL-C)
low-density lipoprotein cholesterol( LDL-C) ]
and patients with cognitive function evaluation. Results The total effective rate of cognitive function in the treatment group( 90. 6%) was higher than that in the control group( 76. 0%)( P < 0. 05). After treatment
the MMSE scores and the FMA scores of the two groups were significantly higher than before treatment
but the NIHSS scores of both groups were significantly lower than before treatment( P < 0. 05). After treatment
the MMSE scores of the treatment group were significantly higher than those of the control group
while the NIHSS scores were significantly lower than the control group( P < 0. 05). After treatment
both TG and TC were significantly lower than before treatment( P < 0. 05)
and TC in the treatment group was significantly lower than that in the control group( P < 0. 05). In addition to the daytime function of the control group
the PSQI factors and total scores after treatment were significantly lower than before treatment( P < 0. 05)
and the sleep time and sleep quality scores of the treatment group decreased more significantly than the control group( P < 0. 05). Conclusion DENG Tietao’s bathfoot can effectively improve the cognitive function of patients with SCHD complicated with stroke
