Study on Assessment of Clinical Practice Guideline of Sepsis at Home and Abroad Based on AGREEⅡ Instrument
Objective To evaluate the clinical practice guideline of sepsis published in recent 5 years in all countries to provide reference for future research and formulation of clinical practice guidelines. Methods Dates for the published guidelines on clinical practice of sepsis and related materials ranged from 2013 to 2017 were searched in Pub Med database
CNKI
Wanfang database
Medline
Embase and Institutes. The Appraisal of Guidelines for Research and Evaluation Ⅱ( AGREE Ⅱ) instrument was used to evaluate the methodological quality of the included sepsis clinical practice guideline
and the contents of assessments included scope and purpose
stakeholder involvement
rigour of development
clarity of presentation
applicability
editorial independence
and overall evaluation. Results A total of eight sepsis clinical practice guidelines were included. The evaluation results of the sepsis clinical practice guidelines showed that the domain of clarity of presentation had the highest average score: 82. 29%
followed by the domain of scope and purpose
with an average score of 70. 95%. The average score of the domain of rigour of development was 52. 99%. The average score of stakeholder involvement was 46. 53%. The average score of editorial independence was 45. 31%; while the domain of applicability was the lowest score 44. 27%. The overall guideline assessments of eight clinical guidelines were 50. 00% to 88. 89%
with recommended for all results. Conclusion The current clinical practice guidelines for sepsis have lower methodological quality in the three domians of stakeholder involvement
applicability
and editorial independence. In the future
guidelines for the development of clinical practice that conforms to China’ s national conditions should be formulated in accordance with the normative guidelines. At the same time
attention should also be given to the promotion and application of the guidelines.
