Effects of Sublingual Administration with Tongqiao Jiuxin Oil (通窍救心油) on Inflammatory Indexes of Unstable Angina Pectoris Patients with Qi Stagnation and Blood Stasis Syndrome
Objective To observe the clinical efficacy and possible mechanism of sublingual administration with Tongqiao Jiuxin Oil( 通窍救心油) on unstable angina pectoris patients with qi stagnation and blood stasis syndrome. Methods A total of 122 unstable angina pectoris patients with qi stagnation and blood stasis syndrome were randomly divided into sublingual group( 30 cases)
oral group( 31 cases)
external use group( 30 cases) and control group( 31 cases). The sublingual group
the oral group and the external use group were treated with Tongqiao Jiuxin Oil on the basic treatment of western medicine
and administration methods were sublingual administration
oral administration and external use on Shuigou( GV 26). The control group was only given oral isosorbide dinitrate tablets on the basic western medicine treatment. Each group was treated for 7 days
and the levels of high-sensitivity C-reactive protein( hs-CRP) and plasma lipoprotein-associated phospholipase A2( Lp-PLA2) were measured before and after treatment. The therapeutic effect of TCM syndrome and electrocardiogram were determined after treatment
and safety indicators and adverse events were observed. Results The total clinical effective rate of TCM syndrome was 90. 00%in sublingual group
61. 29% in oral group
53. 33% in external use group and 80. 65% in control group. The total effective rate of electrocardiogram was 86. 67% in the sublingual group
54. 84% in the oral group
53. 33% in the external use group and 80. 65% in the control group. The total effective rate of TCM syndrome and electrocardiogram in sublingual group was higher than that in oral group and external use group( P < 0. 01). There was no significant difference with the control group( P > 0. 05). Compared with before the treatment
the levels of hs-CRP and LpPLA2 in sublingual group and control group were decreased( P < 0. 05)
and there was no significant difference between groups( P > 0. 05). There were no obvious abnormalities in the safety index of the sublingual group
and no adverse events occurred. Conclusion Sublingual administration of Tongqiao Jixin Oil can improve the clinical symptoms and electrocardiogram of patients with unstable angina pectoris due to qi stagnation and blood stasis syndrome
and its mechanism may be related to the reduction of inflammatory response.
