Quality Evaluation of Domestic and Foreign Literature Reports on Randomized Controlled Trials of Acupuncture Treatment of Primary Dysmenorrhea
Objective To evaluate the report quality of domestic and foreign literature reports on randomized controlled trials(RCTs) about acupuncture therapy for primary dysmenorrhea(PD).Methods The data about RCTs of acupuncture for primary dysmenorrhea China National Knowledge Infrastructure(CNKI)

PubMed
Embase and Cochrane Library were searched form the database estabishing to June 30
2018.The Consolidated Standards for Reporting of Trials statement(CONSORT) 2010 edition and Standards for Reporting Interventions in Controlled Trials of Acupuncture(STRICTA) standards were used for quality evaluation to conduct domestic and foreign comparisons. Results Finally
53 articles in domestic literature and 5 articles in foreign literature were included. The average percentage of domestic CONSORT entry reports was 37.33%
and that of the foreign report was 65.41%.The domestic literature report rates was significant lower than that of the foreign literature in terms of background and principle explanation
major changes in test methods
sample size
randomization order generation and allocation concealment.Domestic STRICTA entry report rate average was 60.60%
foreign report percentage average was 77.67%.The domestic reporting rate was less than 2% in the number of needles used in each treatment unit
the treatment site and related information
the background of the therapist
and the rationality of the reference data
while that of the foreign literature was 40% to 100%.Conclusion The quality of domestic randomized controlled trials for acupuncture treatment of primary dysmenorrhea is generally lower than that of foreign countries.Domestic report on clinical trial design
implementation and other methodological issues requires strict reference to the CONSORT statement and the STRICTA standard.
