Experience of ZHAO Qingchun in Application of “Wentong Decoction(温通汤)” for Syndrome Differentiation and Treatment of Chest Discomfort and Heart Pain
Based on ZHANG Zhongjing’s exposition of "weak pulse at yang and wiry pulse at yin" for chest discomfort and heart pain
this paper summed up the experience of ZHAO Qingchun in applying Wentong Decoction(温通汤) to treat chest discomfort and heart pain. Meridian obstruction
unsmooth blood circulation
phlegm turbidity
blood stasis
cold coagulation
and qi stagnation in the chest are the key to the pathogenesis of chest discomfort and heart pain. According to the basic pathogenesis of "weak pulse at yang and wiry pulse at yin"
it is proposed to use the method of warmly dredging for treatment
with modified Wentong Decoction based on syndrome differentiation.Meanwhile
it is necessary to pay attention to the relationship between heart and kidney yang qi. At the time of warming heart yang
attention should be paid to warming kidney yang. Clinical treatment usually combined with Shenfu Decoction(参附汤)
